In addition, he continued his guitar studies there as well by studying jazz and R&B styles with Thaddeus Hogarth, Ken Taft, and Jon Damian. Subsequently, Colin was also was a member of Jon Damian’s Creative Workshop ensemble. This ensemble touched on the use of avant-garde ideas and unorthodox methods of composing music.

While studying at CU Denver, Colin stepped to the other side of the glass to learn the methodology of music production and audio engineering. It was during this time that Colin also launched his indie-rock project The Ursidae by releasing a full length LP in September 2017. Throughout the course of his college years, Colin also was a guitarist with Denver band 1892, which played such venues as The Gothic Theatre and Herman’s Hideaway.
