Charlotte originally comes from a small town in South Dakota town named Bison. Her childhood consisted of riding horses, taming wild kittens, and playing in the garden with her older siblings. However, music was a core component of growing up for Charlotte. First, she started piano lessons at five years old and began competitions at twelve. Also, she continued to perform two concertos with her private instructor in high school. During that time she also taught herself guitar and began experimenting with her voice through songwriting. Subsequently, she launched in to performing at her church, school, and local talent competitions.
Charlotte graduated from McNally Smith with a B.A. in voice and a minor in music business. She was hired by a local, regularly gigging cover band shortly after graduation. This allowed her to gain valuable knowledge within the industry. Also it allowed her to hone her stage skills while specializing in multi-genre vocal delivery. Charlotte released her first professional single in September 2018 under her stage name, Charlotte Glass. Currently she is focused on recording more original material. Her music is categorized as electronica, chillstep with deep singer-songwriter roots. Think Sara Bareilles meets Alina Baraz. Charlotte has another single release set for February 2019 and is excited to form new musical relationships in Colorado. Finally, Charlotte taught music through the reputable in-home based lesson business, Heart’s Performing Arts, before embarking on a new life in Denver, CO.
Charlotte received extensive coaching from her private instructors at McNally Smith. Therefore, she understands the importance of correct vocal technique, posture, breathing, and vocal health. Her hope is to share that knowledge in a variety of ways that make sense to her students. Furthermore, she intends to focus on personal growth with each of her students by doing the following:
Charlotte genuinely wants to inspire and create with her students. Her teaching style is based in authenticity and helping others find and develop their voice, while respecting where each individual is within his or her musical journey.
