Can you imagine your favorite song right now? What does it sound like? What does it feel like? Can you imagine the groove? Does it make you want to dance? The beat of a song is one of the most powerful elements. It’s what you tap your foot to, or bob your head to, or dance to. It can take you for a ride, or leave you wanting more. The drummer is responsible for holding down a steady beat, but also one that grooves. Check out our in home lesson programs! We have A+ teachers who come to you! We offer drum lessons in Littleton CO and many other instruments also, in Front Range Locations.

Counting and Timing Skills:
Drummers must learn to count, and keep both hands and both feet going in time. Drummers learn to do this and much more. Next, they keep track of different divisions of the beat for each limb. A standard rock drum beat for example, the right foot is doing beats 1 and 3 on the kick drum, while the left foot is opening and closing the high hat. The right hand is doing with notes on the high hat, while the left hand plays on beats 2 and 4 on the snare drum. This would be considered a very basic beat but it requires a lot of concentration and coordination. Whether you are a beginner, or an intermediate to advanced player, you need professional help to make sure you get started on the right path. Getting help with these techniques can save you countless hours of un learning bad habits later on.
Littleton CO Drum Lesson Programs:
Our programs create a balance between 2 main components. First is learning solid fundamentals and techniques. Second is applying those skills in your favorite songs and styles. Also, we recommend consistent weekly lessons. First, this gives each student just the right amount of time to work on a few skills, but not too long. Waiting too long means you might get off track and develop bad habits. In addition, you could end up wasting time practicing the wrong way, or ineffectively. We offer flexibility with scheduling for vacations and other items that come up, but in general, weekly programs produce results. If you are considering lessons, take a chance! We offer 1st lesson FREE with money back guarnatee so there’s no risk to you! Use code 1stfree to get 25 % OFF any 4 pack of lessons!
Equipment Needed for Drum Lessons:
Many people are concerned about noise issues with drums. Neighbors may get upset with loud drumming. However, our in home instructors can get you started with very little equipment required. A set of sticks, and or some brushes, and a decent drum pad are all that is required. Later on, once you build your skill set you can consider moving to a full kit. You can also look into electronic drum kits, which utilize cutting edge technology for realistic sounds all in your private headphone mix. Options for electronic drum kits can be found with a few quick online searches. The quality is very competitive these days, even from entry level kits.
Drum Equipment Dealers:
Try resources like Sweetwater Audio, Musicians Friend or your local drum shop! Nothing compares to real drums of course, with real drum heads. However, reality is that not everyone has the option or space to accommodate this. If you are concerned about noise, and or have any home recording plans, the electronic kit is also a great option. This allows you to get great full kit sounds all in headphones. You wont bother anyone!
